Practice talks: an option to finish before Christmas

Dear all,
In Session 2, several of you asked whether the practice talks could end before the Christmas break. This is possible if a few of you are willing to give your practice talk early, on Friday, 20 November.
How it would work
- The practice talks would take place on Friday, 20 November, Friday, 4 December, and Friday, 11 December. Friday, 18 December would then be free.
- We need at least three volunteers for 20 November, and there is room for four. If fewer than three volunteer, the practice talks stay as planned: 4, 11 and 18 December.
Why it can be worth it
- The practice talk is not graded; it is there for you. It does not need to cover your whole entry: at least about half of the essential points is enough, and the feedback you get helps you shape your final talk.
- To help you prepare in time, volunteers can meet with me one-to-one from next week on.
If it takes place, 20 November is a regular session for everyone, in place of 18 December.
If you would like to present on 20 November, please write to me by e-mail by Thursday, 12 November. By our third session, we will let everyone know whether the session on 20 November takes place.
