Security (WS 2023/2024)

The re-exam will take place this Thursday (April 11) from 10:45–12:45 in Günter-Hotz-Hörsaal (GHH). You should see your admission status in CMS, we have imported the data from LSF. Please let us know immediately in case you think there is a mistake. Some hints for the exam:

• Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can start on time. 
• We will not assign fixed seats, but you can pick a seat.
• The exam will take 120 minutes. A non-programmable calculator is allowed, you are not allowed to use a cheat sheet or book. We will provide a reference with common instructions needed to solve the tasks.
• Use a document-proof pen and not a pencil. Please bring your student ID.

the results of the exam inspection are now reflected in CMS. During our discussions with you, it became clear that the grading for two exercises in the crypto part needed to be re-adjusted, so even if you did not participate yesterday, your grade may have increased by up to two points.

The exam will take place this Friday (February 16) from 14:00 - 16:00 in the Günter-Hotz Lecture Hall (GHH), HS001, HS002, and HS003. We have assigned seats to all students who registered via LSF. In case you cannot register via LSF, please come to GHH and we will assign you a seat in that room. Some hints for the exam:

Dear Students,

I just uploaded the final exercise sheet covering Usable Security and Privacy. As announced in the lecture, this will be an ungraded exercise sheet and there will be no submission. It is only for you to help prepare for the exam and show you what kind of questions to expect. We uploaded a sample solution at the same time, but please try to answer the questions yourself first.

Dear students,

As I already said in the tutorial and on askbot, please be aware there is an error in task 3 (b): the value 0xdeadbeef should be written to address 0xc0de.
Also, next Wednesday, the tutorial will be in CISPA Room 0.07 (the long meeting room on the ground floor) instead of the lecture hall.

Unfortunately, today's lecture has to be canceled due to illness, I cannot talk for 1.5 hours due to a cold. (I will record the lecture in the next few days and then make it available as a video.) The lecture is fully cancelled. I'm sorry for this inconvenience! Next week, Sven Bugiel will start the block on crypto.
