Dear students,

If you are registered for an oral re-take exam, please read the following information carefully.

The oral re-take exams will be held virtually over Zoom. Please use the following Zoom room https://cispa-de.zoom.us/j/99429160051?pwd=eTVObitNa3U2cDB4YkpBNk5iVVZRZz09. Please come to the Zoom room only at the time you registered for (of course you can enter a couple of minutes early). This Zoom room has a waiting room and we will let you into the call on time. Please make sure to be on time as we cannot exceed the allocated time slots. Also make sure to leave the room again on time.

Please make sure to access the call with video enabled and have your student ID card ready so that we can verify your identity. Please note that this is a hard requirement; if you do not have access to a device that allows video calls, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can figure out another solution that works for you.

We also recommend to have an empty sheet of paper and a pen ready; this might be helpful to make notes when solving scenarios.

If you have any questions or constraints, please contact us as soon as possible. We are doing our best to ensure that all of you can take the exam and are treated fairly.

All the best!

Dear students,

I hope all of you are fine and healthy and that you can enjoy the sunshine despite all the hard work. We have received a number of emails from people who want to de-register from this course/the exam. Please note that this is NOT possible due to our grading scheme that allows you to skip one of the assignments OR the final exam. Such a flexible grading scheme requires that all your points contribute towards your final grade (according to university regulations). Hence,  as the registration period has passed you will receive a grade even if you do not submit any more assignments and do not show up at the exam.
We have made this explicit in the kick-off and kindly ask you for your unterstanding and to not send us any more emails on this matter. Thank you!

Dear students,

Thank you for your hard work so far and for all your valuable contributions during the zoom lectures. Unfortunately, I am unable to hold a lecture next Monday, on the 31st of May. The content of this lecture is design methods; we are confident that the best way (and also the most fun way) to learn about design methods is learning by doing, which is why there will be a dedicated assignment (assignment 4) that will allow you to learn about design methods from your own experiences. Nevertheless, we have uploaded a slide deck with instructions for self-study, which you can find under "Materials". Please use your "free time" next Monday morning to go over this slide deck. In case you have questions about the content, please post them in the forum. Second, you will have the opportunity to ask questions in the course of the Q&A session for the 4th assignment. If needed, we will of course also introduce a dedicated slot to discuss the content of this lecture.
