This is a reminder to register for the exam at Saarland University's LSF. If you want to participate in the exam, please register ASAP. There will be no additional registration form in the CMS. If you are unsure about whether you qualify for the exam, please register anyway. If you do not reach the minimum number of points with the last exercise sheet, we will automatically unregister you.

Hi everyone,

While grading the last exercise sheet, we saw a sharp increase in answers that were obviously generated by ChatGPT or a competing LLM. Here is a gentle reminder that we count any submission you did not write yourself as plagiarism, including LLM-generated answers. For the current and upcoming assignments, if we determine that you have made no meaningful contribution towards solving an exercise yourself, we will not award any points for the entire exercise sheet. In some cases, we may also invite you to a short meeting to discuss your submissions in person.

Hello everyone,

Next week, instead of the regular tutorials, there will be two special tutorials introducing the pwntools Python library. This library can be immensely helpful for developing exploits and will also be relevant to the upcoming exercises, so we highly recommend attending.

The tutorials will take place in the Tuesday and Wednesday slots. As with the regular tutorials, you can freely choose which one you want to attend.

We’ve decided not to assign individual tutorial slots. Instead, you’re free to choose whichever tutorial slot suits you best.
Every tutorial within a week will present the same content.

While attendance is optional, we highly recommend joining at least one tutorial each week.
Tutors will recap the lecture, go over exercise sheet solutions, and are your first point of contact for any questions.
