Page Limit for final versionWritten on 01.03.22 by Ben Stock Since some of you had asked (I forgot to give a definitive answer): you can submit up to 7 pages + appendix/biblio. |
Feedback for draftsWritten on 16.02.22 by Ben Stock Hi all, the feedback for your draft reports should be online, accessible through the submissions. If something is unclear, please reach out to your topic advisor. Best of luck with the final reports! |
Reminder: EvaluationWritten on 29.01.22 by Ben Stock Hi all, according to Qualis, 10 of you already evaluated the seminar. I'd be great if we can also get the two additional voices heard! https://qualis.uni-saarland.de/eva/?l=133398&p=8rjaus It's open until February 3 :-) |

Because of this, from Monday, our meetings will move online. I have added the Zoom link to the topic assignment page. I am sure that many of you were interested in continuing in-person, but as indicated we should all feel comfortable with this. We can revisit this decision if the situation changes dramatically for the better (which I, unfortunately, doubt). Stay healthy & keep your spirits up! Ben (and the rest of the JAWS team) |
Going forwardWritten on 24.11.21 by Ben Stock Hi all, after some discussion between the teaching staff, we would like to hear your opinion. Given that cases are increasing and there seems little stopping this, we are considering to move the seminar to an online-only format. Based on the feedback we received thus far, this would - from a purely technical point - not be an issue. And while we firmly believe the seminar is much more productive (and more fun) if we do it in-person, it nevertheless increases the exposure risk of everyone (albeit it's rather small with distance and masks on). It is up to everyone to assess if this risk is too high for them. Hence, we would like to know if anyone does not feel comfortable to have meetings in-person at this stage. Please use the anonymous feedback feature from the CMS to tell us so. In that case, we would move to an online setting. Thanks! Ben |

Technical aspects for the presentationWritten on 28.10.21 by Ben Stock Just to quickly clarify: the "projector" we have at CISPA is a 16:9 TV screen, to which you can connect through HDMI or VGA. Make sure you have slides that fit that aspect ratio and also some output/adapter to connect to HDMI or VGA. You can test your setup also after the next meeting. |
