Deep Generative Models

Hello everyone,

I would like to give some instructions on the remaining tasks for the course.

For the next class on January 5, we will have three presentations, with the first one starting at 4:00 pm. So, remember to arrive on time at the seminar room, especially for the first presenter. Every student is expected to attend all the second paper presentations, unless they provide early notice to the instructor explaining the reason. Each presentation is expected to be completed within 20 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. After the presentation, each presenter should upload the presentation slides to CMS under the entry "Presentation Slides". We strongly recommend preparing for the final presentation well in advance and practicing the presentation and Q&A session with your peers to ensure you thoroughly understand the paper with sufficient depth. 

As for the two-page summary, please upload a PDF summarizing the topics you have presented, what you have learned throughout the semester, and your reflections. We recommend using the NeurIPS 2025 ShareLaTeX template for this task; however, you are free to choose other software. The deadline for submitting the summary PDF on CMS is January 31, 2026.

Hello everyone, 

I have opened the editing option for the shared Google spreadsheet.

Now, you can select a slot for the second paper presentation and enter your name in the corresponding entry (highlighted in pink). For each date in January, we have three time slots available. I'll briefly talk about the instructions for the second paper presentation after the next class meeting on the eighth, which will be our last presentation for the first round.

Dear Student,

This is a final reminder that you must register for the exam with respect to this proseminar on LSF. The deadline for LSF registration or cancellation is November 18, 2025 (this is the updated date confirmed by the study coordination team). If you miss the deadline, you will not be able to receive credits and grades for the course.

You can refer to the next page for the two research papers associated with each topic. You will be allowed to make the self-selection by 18:00 today (October 28, 2025).

Dear Students,

This is a reminder that the kickoff will take place at 16:15 today. The location is Room 0.07 in the CISPA C0 building, Stuhlsatzenhaus 5, 66123 Saarbrücken. The room is on the ground floor, right in front of the main entrance.
