Post Quantum Cryptography
Post-quantum cryptography is a fascinating research challenge that will be critical for the future of the Internet if large quantum computers are built. It studies cryptographic algorithms that may be able to resist attacks by quantum computers.
There are different classes of cryptographic systems that are conjectured to be secure in the presence of quantum computers. This course focuses on hash-based and lattice-based cryptography. It will cover basic concepts and introduce different cryptographic primitives including (one-time) signatures, hash functions, and public-key encryption.
This is an advanced course in cryptography. The participants in this course are assumed to already having taken the course Cryptography.
The course will be taught in English. Material will be given during the lectures.
Location: Bernd Therre lecture hall (CISPA main building, ground floor, left hand side, C0 - 0.05)
Time: Monday 04:00 p.m. The first lecture will be on Monday, 17.04.2023.
