As communicated during the first session, the presentation is the primary determinant of your final grade (80%). It must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the assigned paper(s), which will be further evaluated during the Q&A session. While the final report contributes to the grade, it carries less weight (20%).

The presentation consists of 30 minutes of talk and 15 minutes for Q&A session. Your presentation will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Clarity and Understanding: How clearly do you communicate the main contributions and key results of the paper(s) to a general audience in a way that reflects your own understanding?
  • Contextual Awareness: How well do you demonstrate an understanding of the prior work that the paper(s) build upon?
  • Engagement and Responsiveness: How effectively do you respond to relevant questions from the audience (primarily from me, Anurag, and your peers)?

After the final presentation, you will have a chance to revise your report and presentation before submitting them. The use of GenAI for writing assistance is permitted; however, students remain fully responsible for any resulting scientific misconduct, including plagiarism. We will check the extent to which GenAI is used in your final report.
